Why Your Vibe Coded Website Isn't Ranking on Google (Fix This)

So, a lot of folks have been having issues with their vibe coded websites indexing on Google. And so, what we've done is we put together a list for y'all that's going to help you out. This is a list of prompts that you can use to make sure that you're doing technical SEO on your sites that you're creating. This is our agency site. We actually vibe coded this using Lovable. It's made with React, Tailwind, and also Sanity CMS to manage all of the databases on the current website.

And so what we did was we put together 30 prompts for you to be able to get this thing done. And I'm going to walk you through this tutorial. I'm doing this on the video so you can get most of it from here, but if you like, you can always subscribe to Weekly SOP to get this in your inbox every week with more content.

So essentially what you want to do is you want to set up everything and you want to set up a SEO foundation. So once you've vibe coded your website, your design's locked in, you've got all of your break points ready, your site looks great, you got all your pages built, now you want to run this SEO audit and technical assets to improve your website. Now whether you're vibe coding with lovable or you're using Claude code, any whatever you're using, you want to prompt this in a similar fashion.

So I'm going to pull it up here. So you can go, the tools you really need, you'll just need vibe coding software, which is pretty fine, cursor, lovable, Replit, whatever you're using. Schema markup, you'll be able to do that within the vibe coding process. And then you're also going to incorporate canonical tags. So, let me go ahead and fast forward here and get straight to the nitty-gritty.

So, these are the prompts you want to run first to really get your site audited well. So, these literally, you can just look at this, grab it. Again, you can always subscribe to Weekly SOP to get this in your inbox, but you want to add a unique title tag and meta robot to every page. title should include the primary keyword near the front. You also want to incorporate open graph and Twitter cards. These are the images that load once your website populates in the URL in a social media platform.

Heading hierarchy, HTML language, canonical tag. This is important as well. Also, side note, you want to make sure that once you finish this that you add it to Google Search Console. For every client we work with, we add their website to Google Search Console. We submit their sitemap manually so that way we can track to see if any 404 errors or things come up. Also adding a favicon.

And now this part's huge. schema is going to help you rank really well. Most vibe coded websites have zero Schema. So this is going to be your biggest quick win out of the gate. First homepage, you want to add a schema there. Website and light link site link search as well. And then you want to do an FAQ schema. This is going to do really well for accepted answers and index once you submit the sitemap to Google search console. And then all of these other schema audits as well.

Now, in regards to performance, you want to help compress the images. So, you're going to vibe code this essentially by auditing all images, convert to webp format so they load faster, and add alt text for each image. As we all know, Google doesn't see the site as we see it. It sees HTML. When the robots scrape these websites, these images need to be labeled properly so that way they index well on the search engines. Side note, we do this for clients out of the gate for setup on their websites.

Of course, adding the site map, which is important. This is the blueprint of the website, the pages structure data, all that info there. And then you want to go ahead and set up the onpage SEO. That's internal linking audit, keyword optimization, content freshness. This is going to get you all the way where you need to be. And then you want to go ahead and jump into the competitive analysis piece.

This is where you want to target specific keywords. You want to look at other domains and how they're ranking and have your vibe coding tool be able to use that as an analysis. And then my favorite part, AEO. This is the 2026 priority. This is what Google AI overview. It's eating clicks. This is where you can compete. Now, unfortunately, this is where we're at, right?

Most of the time if you're doing a search, it's going to give you an AI pull from a top level website. And so we have to be able to combat that by providing structured data for these AEO pages as well. Now, just so you know, best practices and keynotes, run the foundation first. Validate your schema before pushing live. You always want to make sure you do that. You can test that right here as well. And then treat these as layered, not linear.

One H1 per page. no exceptions. And the expected outcomes you should have is every page will have an accurate keyword optimized meta tags and proper H1. Your site will pass core web vitals and Google page speed insights. Again, page speed insights are not the end- all beall, but you at least want to rank 75 to 80, I would say, in most of these levels of competition. And then the pages are structured to surface in Google AI overviews and answer engines.

Peace. Y'all, I know this was quick. I wanted to give you a full overview of what you could do. This is to get your brain going. This is to get things going. I've heard a lot of misconceptions regarding this in regards to submitting your content to the search engines. You have to make sure that you have some type of background in doing design and doing development to make sure that your websites ship efficiently so you can get some really great page insights like this.

This is what we have on accessibility. These are best practices and this is what we have for SEO for a vibe coded site. This is unprecedented in this day and age. So I hope this was helpful.
